Duration

2 years (12 + 12 months)


Part I

Extending for twelve months from the commencement of academic term which includes four papers. At the end of M.Pharm Part-I, there shall be a university examination for M.Pharm Part-I.


Part II

Extends to a period of twelve months. At the end of M.Pharm Part-II, the candidate shall submit a dissertation on the topic approved by the university.


Scheme of Exam

Sessional Exam: 3 sessional exams will be conducted for 30 marks each, in practicals and theory respectively.


Annual Exam:

To be conducted by University at the end of 1st year and at the end of IInd year ( M. Pharm Part II )the students have to submit a dissertation to the university and attend viva voce thereafter.


Submission of Dissertation

Three copies of the dissertation duly certified by the guide and the Principal must be submitted by the candidate to the University either in printed or typed or in bound form, through the Principal on or before the prescribed date.

The Oral (Viva-Voce) Examination will be held after the submission of dissertation. If any candidate fails to submit the dissertation on or before the date prescribed, his/her Viva-Voce will be conducted during the subsequent examination, which will not be earlier than 6 months from the date fixed in the first instance.


Minimum marks for passing M.Pharm Part-II

The minimum percentage of marks for final passing has to be 50% of the total allotted marks of 200 for M.Pharm Part-II (150 Marks dissertation work and 50 Marks for Viva Voce will be decided by both examiners).

Declaration of Class

Class shall be declared on the basis of the aggregate of marks scored in M.Pharm Part-I and Part-II as follows.

1. 75% and above-Distinction
2. 60% & above but less than 75% – First Class
3. 50% & above but less than 60% – Second Class
4. Less than 50% – Fail
